OK, now we can separate the conversations.  Hahahahaha

(since I have no idea what the hell he is talking about anymore)
Too late. My offer existed when there was only 1/2 as many replies to sort through as there are now.  :P

Sorry for the derail Ken. The original question would be a good topic for a separate thread for learning purposes.
The problem with those types of "common names" are that they can be attributed to many different fish.
I'd be for a system where it's 3 strikes and your banned for anyone who uses common names.

... JK of course.

Since this thread seems to have taken all kinds of twists and turns..., does anyone know of any catfish that get kind of big that have small mouths and are not predatory. Or perhaps any other fish that gets kind of big and is not mean?

Why would you not start a new thread for this?  Probably get a lot more answers and views.

Pangasianodon hypophthalmus would fit your requirements.

Good idea. To answer your question though, because this thread was already so confusing I thought I'd muck it up a little more!

I can see about 20 post quoting this staement. I do hope you were joking. When you said that if that is true I can down size all my tanks to one 50 breeder.  Very cost effective method

55 gallon and I just hit my limit with 23 2" Peacocks and Haps.  The plan is to get the other 55 going so I can move some fish over to that when they start getting to large for this one tank.
