Hi from Kitchener Ontario Canada
« on: November 27, 2016, 07:05:44 PM »
Hey everyone,

I thought I would join this forum because you guys are hosting the next ACA convention in July 2017.

On the main floor of our house, I have 9 aquariums of varying sizes from 100 gallons, 3 x 50, 30, 25, 20, and smaller.
I have a very understanding spouse :)
I keep Severums, Festivums, Nicaraguense, Carpintis Escondidos, Malawi cichlids, Green Chromides, Blue Acaras, Coptodon and Jewel cichlids.
Non cichlids include tetras, barbs, plecos, synodontis catfish, corys, livebearers and my favourite: at least 12 species of Loaches :)

I have been a member of the Kitchener-Waterloo Aquarium Society since 2002.
I have attended the last 7 OCA Extravaganzas, next summer's ACA will be my first.
Here in Canada, I have attended about 10 Canadian Association of Aquarium Clubs annual conventions.
I have done presentations at about 10 aquarium clubs in Southern Ontario.
Over the years, I have shown fish in quite a few shows here in Southern Ontario.

In the Greater Detroit area, I have visited Fantastic Fins, Stingray Bay, Oceans and Seas as well as a very interesting place called Flower Barn Nursery SeaWorld.

I have visited public aquariums in Toronto, Vancouver, Tampa Bay and Key West.
I visited Belle Isle Aquarium way back in the late 1960's, so I look forward to seeing it again during the ACA next summer :)

Hi Zenin welcome to MCA. Not sure when the last time you visited SeaWorld was, but if you haven't done it recently it's worth another visit as they just this summer redid the place and it's really pretty amazing now a days. I have to get back out there myself soon, been a couple months since I was there and from what I hear they have pretty much finished it now.

Welcome to the site, enjoy.

Thanks for the welcome.

I dropped in to Flower Barn Nursery SeaWorld this past Monday the 21st on the way back from OCA Extravaganza.
The place was looking great :)
If we lived closer, my wife would go to the gardening section and I would go to the aquariums and display tanks ;)
I think I will write an article for my club newsletter on the place.
Here are a couple of photos:

Very cool Zennis thanks for the photo. Last time I was there they were still working on finishing probably the last 25%. I'm gonna have to get back there very soon now for sure  :)
