Hello all!
I have spent the last few months gleaning every bit of knowledge from this forum as I can, and my wife and I finally bought our new soon to be cichlid tank, so I thought I better come out of the shadows and introduce myself. When we were in college married housing limited us to 20 gallons, but didn't limit the number of tanks. At one time we had labs, jewels, blue rams, and neons all kept in different 20s, successfully bred and sold to the LFS. Then we moved down to Kalamazoo and got our 60 where we kept red fins and livingstonii (my favorites). When we started over on that tank we went with blue peacocks (bred like crazy, but were fun). Then we bought a house and the tank sat empty, so we sold it. About two months later we found my daughter LOVES fish, so my wife said we are buying another tank. The discussion continues, but I think we are going to end up with a south/central american tank. My wife loved the blue rams and really wants discus. Happy wife, happy life. I am just thankful to be back into the hobby. Still have a long ways to go on the setup, and all of the knowledge on this forum had been very helpful already.
