Howdy
« on: August 12, 2014, 12:53:51 PM »
Been on the site a few months figured it is time to introduce myself. I live in Waterford, married, and have a 3 1/2 yo and a 1 1/2 yo (both girls).

Born in Ohio, but grew up in Texas.   Graduated from Texas Tech University then moved up here an Engineering job with GM.

My dad had a 55 gallon freshwater throughout my child hood.  I had a 30 gallon freshwater in college.  Got out of fish keeping for a while, but got back into when the oldest was learning to walk.

I currently have a 37 gallon "treasure chest" tank housing a variety of smallish (1-2") Cichlids.  These will be rehomed in the next month or so to the 180 gallon tank I purchased from here.

I also have a 60 gallon, double hexagon tank.  This one I went a little overboard on and made custom 3D backgrounds.  Each side different. One side is white granite stones (each one siliconed in place) and sand to create an "ocean  theme"  and the other uses real slate, drift wood, and live plants for more of a "planted tank".

I plan to document the build/setup of my 180 gallon and will post about it when done.  Just wanted to say hi ya'll!
