I remember back in the 90's they had a 2nd location in Center Line off of Van Dyke.  I actually liked that location better.  I think it is a bar now.
55 gallon Central Americans
30 gallon Angels
20 gallon long fry
5 gallon fry

There was a third location also... I am forgetting where.   :-\

I used to work at the one in Roseville when I was going to school.

Just got back from there.  Typical Sea World.  Not a ton to offer, but what they had was priced OK.  Had some nice Green Terrors.

Can't blame them for capitalizing on their retailing space.  They do support the tropical fish clubs.

Thats the third time the address has been posted.   :P

Yes, you can blame them for getting rid of the 500 gallon tanks.  They are not using that space for anything.  Completely wasted.  They have a couple nothing tanks up there and thats it on the fish room side... and on the other side, I think there were dog toys hung up that could easily have been somewhere else.

Those tanks used to draw people in, just to loo at them.

I think the fish room itself needs to be redesigned again.  They could easily fit another row of tanks in there and not even be close to crowded.

Large tanks take up space and I'm sure require serious maintenance from time to time.

Sometimes business owners have to negate the "...sure would be nice syndrome...".

I used to take care of these tanks.  It was not that big of a deal.

The initial cost is the biggest thing, and that was taken care of a long time go.

Oh well.  I no longer think of SeaWorld as one of the main players in the area anymore.  Not even close, and thats a shame.

I noticed this place hasn't been reviewed in awhile and since I just checked it out this weekend I figured I'd share.  They're in the process of updating their system so their stock was a bit limited, although that should change with the additions they mentioned.  They are converting the puppy room into another fish room and installing new tanks in the existing fish area (hopefully not another shared filtration unit like they currently run now).

Although the stock was limited they did have a good variety and the prices were very good on the whole.  They even had a few African cichlid gems like some sub adult Petrochromis and several species of tropheus (ranging from fry to adults).  They also had a decent selection of New world cichlids including a very nice Red Texas and a couple different Geophagus species.  The guy who runs the fish section told me his boss "buys whatever he feels like"  and the selection of oddball/rare fish in the limited tanks they had definitely confirmed this.  I only ended up buying a few Bosmani rainbow juvies (2ish inches) for only $3 each, although I definitely plan on returning to check out their renovations.

Very funny you decided to review this today, because I was just there today as well...

I went today on the advice of my buddy (Al) member here.It was "okay" Came home with a 5" moorii. Had a deal with a member here that did not keep his word so thats  why I made the rounds today and ended up at SeaWorld. They had a few nice fish, but not many. But after talking the the one guy he says they are in fact expanding 400% over the next 3 weeks, so looking fwd to seeing that for sure.

Stopped back in yesterday morning. Store is getting much better now. The back room which is probably 60ft x 15ft is all fish/tanks now, pretty decent amount of cichlids with some nice species and pretty good prices. They are working on a long jungle themed display set up with 3DBG style walls and long 20ft tanks at the front of the fish room as well which is not done yet but looks like it will be pretty cool looking when finish. Looks like it will probably be a few more weeks till they are all finished but I would say it is defiantly worth checking out if you're in the area.

Just spent three hours helping stock a huge order.  Walked in and was shocked.  The store is revamped with 3 huge tanks.  We must have put 250 + ob cichlids in a huge tank.  I asked how he was gonna catch them and he told me they were for show.  It is still in the process of being revamped but will be worth the stop just for the show tanks! I will stop by this weekend to see how the fish acclimated and what he will be pricing them at.  Check them out when you get the chance.
