I have not confirmed egg presence yet. But, I have a couple of Jags that paired up&  the female spends alot of time in her PVC pipe, while the other aggressively patrols

I was just about to do some venting on my group of Tropheus Ilangi when as I turned on the lights this morning I found 2 holding. They have been "practice" spawning for weeks but no holders. Looks like the change in rock cover that I did earlier this week helped.
Nothing but a few empty tanks.

My white labs have spawned as well as my electric blue Alhi and two electric yellows again.  Also should have two more batches of barchardi fry in the next week.

In the past week:

Crenicichla alta
Crenicichla regani
Nandopsis festae
Astatotilapia calliptera
Hemichromis guttatus
Parachromis managuense

Don't yet have much room for fry, so will try to save only some of the pikes and festae.

Well, now that I am down to my 190g Malawi show tank I am getting tons of spawns!!!
There is ALWAYS several Electric Yellows holding, but with only a few males and 15 or more females, they are constantly spawning.
I also noticed yesterday that one of my wild caught Protomelas sp. "Pombo Yellow Chin" is holding!  :) I waited for this particular species for quite a few years and now I have them and they are reproducing...too bad I am not saving fry  :(.
My wild caught Copadichromis trewavassae "Likoma" have also spawned in there recently.
Now all that needs to spawn is the wild caught Aulonocara maylandi "Sulfur Head" and it will be a wild trifecta of rarities  :D.
I can't wait until the Pseudotropheus dolphin I got from Jeff get old enough to spawn in there.

p.s. No, I am not diving in for the holding females  8)

Wimp!  A true fish geek would pull them, strip them, and raise the fry.  Boo hoo you'll have to move a few rocks.   :P

I'm not stripping them because I would have to set up fry tanks...that leads to setting up an entire fish room...and I'm not gonna make it that easy for someone to win the pool.  ;D
