My Koi and Pearlscale Chocolate Leopard Angelfish spawned last night. Amazingly it's the first spawn for both of them and they're taking it pretty seriously!

Have had many batches of my Placidochromis sp. "Phenochilus Tanzania".  Three batches and four more females holding.  I swear my two males are trying to breed every female in the tank at one time.  Also, my rusties finally spawned after growing them up for ten months.  I was beginning to worry about them.

Congrats on the phenos - definitely a beautiful hap!

From what I've seen, when the males are around 5"-5.5" and the females around 4"-4.5" they start to get interested, but it takes them a few tries to hold successfully. Around that time the males also start showing flashes of their full color - dark black with blue/green highlights.
