Hi Jim here. Back a member after 25 years. Have been a professional with many set-ups and maintenance. Also, did a lot with the Zoo and Belle Isle Aquarium, when Doug Sweet was in charge. Bred a lot of Africans back in the day. Also propped a lot of coral, bred anemones...
Currently have five, all freshwater, tanks up: 10 gallon live food culture; 40B planted tank/cherry shrimp breeding; 45B grow out plants and fish; 75L pair of Rotkeil, Jurapari... planted; Planted 200 with pair on WC Festae.
Also have a ton of equipment, some new, mostly trade ins from clients. High-end reef stuff Tunze, controllers, test gear to power heads. Also tons of lighting. Would love to sell this all, and would give most of it free to someone who paid for the new items and took it all.
Looking forward to meeting folks. My goal is always a balanced ecosystem with as much diversity, fish, plant and invert, as possible. Have a lot of experience using plants and inverts in freshwater even with species of fish that you aren't supposed to be able to do it with. Love to hear/see what others are doing in these areas.
