I do a lot of fishing trips in the spring/summer/fall and my July trip eash year is 16 days so I rely on auto fish feeders a lot. I have found two good ones. It depends how big a tank/many fish, If its a tank with a lot of fish then them drum feeders you find at Walmart for $12 are good. Reason I say a lot of fish is because being a drum feeder they let out a lot of food. So I use that on my 240 tank with about 25 haps/mbuna in it. On smaller tanks like my 75g;s were I have maybe my single Jag, or my frontosa tank where there are 6-10 fish. I use these https://www.amazon.com/Fish-Mate-F14-Aquarium-Feeder/dp/B000YK5W18

They are kind'a pricey, but they can be set to feed once for 14 days, or twice for 7days. And they are reliable. I went through a LOT of research a couple years ago to find the best I could and these two are what I found to work best. And I've used them both for 3 years now and no complaints on either. BTW on the FISHMATE one if you get that, great feeder but take the lid off. I found leaving the lid on creates humidity and gums up the food. Take it off and it works much better.

With all the time away from home on fishing trips I have tried them all, so just wondering Josh, what is the best about the Ehiem ones? Don't get me wrong bud you know I'm not being a jerk. Just wondered what you found better about them than other ones?

Digital read out, easy to set and understand, in addition I like the multiple settings, they can feed up to 4 times a day and 2 times each setting.  Humidity doesn't pose an issue in my opinion with food storage to feed.  Couple of different mounting options.  However, best if used with pellets.

Cool I may have to get one from ya to try out then.  The idea of multiple feedings per day is something I like.
