Need to add more fish??? Suggestions welcome

I think I need to add more fish to my tank. They are targeting each other too much, I think.
Here's what I have:
125 gallon 48x24x24
FX6 filter
sandy bottom and big rocks
food: Dainichi veggie deluxe

Current fish list (all around 3-4" right now): (I used to have more but they were all picked off)
3 electric yellows (unknown gender, no babies)
4 dark purple yellow fin acei (unknown gender, no babies)
1 orange firefish
1 c. moorii blue dolphin
1 rusty
1 red shoulder peacock (lowest fish in rank, not much color, gets damaged a lot - he may not last forever and adding more fish might help him)
1 synodontis petricola

How many more fish do you suggest and what species? I'm hoping for more vegetarian or veggie tolerant omnivores. Feel free to move this thread as needed to the best area.

I would say it really depends on what you are trying to achieve with the aquarium - if you want to have a few breeding groups I would selected VERY different looking mbuna and get a couple good groups going. Your combination of yellows, acei, and rusties is pretty good as they all look different and are from separate genus (doesn't necessarily mean they won't hybridize but it reduces the likelihood). You could maybe add 1 more species (maybe some blue like maingano or demasoni) but I wouldn't do more than 4 breeding groups in a 120. If you are going for just a show tank then I would try to vent your fish (should be big enough now) and sell off all the females then just stock with whatever males you can find and look appealing. I think you can definitely add more fish to the mix but unfortunately there will always be aggression when it comes to African Cichlids. Also note that there is an auction coming up this Saturday if you are looking to buy more fish. Cheers

I would increase the numbers in your 3 mbuna groups to at least 5 each then you can add a few hap males and some of the tougher peacocks to round out your mix.  Jacobfreibergi peacocks are tough as are orange firefish and OB peacocks.   The red shoulder should be moved as it is probably too meek to handle the others.  Some nice larger haps are red finned boreyei, red empress and electric blues.   If you want smaller fish some of the Victorians might work P. nyerei, Hap 44 (thickskin) and rock kribs come to mind.
