Turtleman's Kapampa Frontosa
« on: September 05, 2011, 06:39:11 AM »
Just thought I'd get my thread going again. I will dig up some of the old pics to help provide a "visual timeline".

Here are the current stats:

Tank size: 125G
Lighting: 72" Coralife Lunar AquaLight Deluxe Series w/ Moonlight LEDs
Filtration: FX5, AC 110 x2, Emperor 400 x1

Eventually I will be upgrading to a bigger tank, but for now they're doing good. Here's a vid I took yesterday morning with my phone.

I'd say about a year and a half? I believe I got them at the 2010 Winter auction at less then an inch in size.

Ok, here's a little timeline of my fronts...most of you have already seen this. My youtube channel has a bunch of videos with dates for size comparisons.

March 2010 - Brought them home and settled them in their 50G temporary home. 4 Yellow Kasanga Compressiceps are their cohabitants.

February 2011 - I lost 1 fish. He jumped out of a small uncovered hole between some filters. Bummer!!!    :(

March 2011 - More fish pics, still doing well.

Looks like it's time to take some really good pictures.

I think the biggest is about 3.5" to 4" or so Ron. I took some pics this morning, I'll get them posted soon. I think I have a good amount of males and females, so I should be able to get a decent colony going and sell an extra or three...

I'm not sure what Mr. Super Turtleman used for a background but to get similar results I use Rustoleum Royal Blue and paint it on with a roller.  Usually takes a 2 coats.

I see I see. Where did you get your rustoleum paint from. Local hardware, Home Depot maybe. Just wondering, thanks for the info...
