Great pictures! Those fish are really growing up nicely. IMO it also gives you more appreciation for them having raised them yourself rather than just buying a group of adults.
Fighting and aggression is going up...getting close to the time to thin out the herd.I've identified 2 males I will keep, now have to identify all the females.
IME with various larger haps, if you keep 2 males you'll get one that looks awesome and one that is either just dull and subordinate, or that gets beat up badly. If you keep 3, you'll typically have a dominant that looks great and a sub-dominant that looks nice, both splitting a tank close to 50/50 depending on aquascaping, and a third that'll be bounced back and forth and not look so nice, but he won't be targeted as much as in the 2 male situation.
Now, I'm newer to fronts than you - have a group of the 7 stripes growing out - so it might be different, but I thought I'd throw out my experience with haps as food for thought.
I was originally getting rid of the most dominant male to whittle down my group, but I've kind of stopped for the time being because I don't want to get rid of too many.
