Battery heaters?

Do they make battery operated heaters? If you don't own a generator what other options are there to heat your tank?

They would use too much electricity to probably make it feasible to run off of battery power.  Heating a gallon of water takes a fair amount of energy.  One option would be a propane powered heater to warm the entire room up to the mid 70's.  They also make ventless natural gas heater which you can plumb right into your home's gas supply.
Shrimpin' ain't easy.

Are you talking in an emergency situation,  like when the power goes out?   Do you have a gas water heater ?   Pop/water bottles filled with hot water work great & have gotten me through some winter power outages.
