Culling sick fish

When is the point where you just give up and put them out of misery?

I've had this runt electric blue Acara for a while now. Bought her at Preuss at a medium size, couple days later bought a bag of tiny juveniles at the MCA auction. I noticed the Preuss fish would never eat so I put her in her own hospital tank. I have tried a few treatments, thought I saw her eating the other day so decided to add her back to the group. She's now almost smaller than the juveniles I bought who all gobble food like it's going out of style.... But I see now that she is back to not eating and is just wasting away.

So back into the hospital tank she went but at what point is it better to just take her out?

I also have a deformed female congo tetra that I have decided to just let be and keep her with the group even though she looks out of place.

It's a choice you'll have make on your own.....deformed fish that can't swim right or fish not eating due to incurable disease or seriously hurt with no hope of healing (could or should) be euthanized. Most humane way is put the fish in a bowl and add clove oil to the water puts the fish to sleep, then put the fish in the bowl of clove treated water into a freezer....job done

wow, it's crazy but my first tank I set up was with electric yellow and white's and the spawned babies were white with some yellows. I now know I have hybrids but what to do? I gave a few to friends that just wanted a fish tank but still have about 10 left at 3 to 4" just hate to kill them.

I have a female congo tetra that's body shape is totally odd but she seems happy
