Anybody own L104 Clown Pleco?
« on: October 26, 2015, 04:15:07 PM »
I got one today at the LFS I paid $3.98 for him. I have read that they are reclusive and that they are wood eaters. I boiled some driftwood from a local lake and put it near the front of the tank hoping I will at least see him feed.

If I am not mistaken I believe that is the same as the L162? (for some reason I think that one has two L #'s?) if so then I have a 4" one (bought mine as a L162). He's not reclusive at all, dunno if that's normal or not but mine is out and about almost all the time.

I have one, IIRC I've seen them labeled under ~3 different numbers. Mine is only seen very late at night or early in the morning.

I must be smoking crack or something ::) I just looked back to see what the one I have is and it's a L226 not L162, no idea why I had that number in my mind. Guess that explains why mine is out all the time. I must be getting old :-\

Mine is actually out right now, earliest it's been out since I got it. I've also noticed they're pretty slow growers, at least for me

I put wood in for mine. So far he is not on the wood. He is camped between a flower pot and a rock.
