Excellent time at the MCA auction today. IMO one of the best yet. Picked up some beautiful fish (9 new ones today) which completed the stocking of my 75g office tank now. The VC10 caught my eye soon as I walked in and I was not about to leave without him!  8)

Beautiful tank:)
Your backgrounds were awesome at the auction.  Have you ever thought about making some to sell.

I actually planned on doing it a while back Scott. I even went as far as to buy a domain name and get a site halfway built. Problem was though that backgrounds take anywhere from 12-15hrs or more to build a nice one so it would have interfered with my custom fly rod business too much. Plus with the amount of labor and cost of pond armor the profit margin just isn't really there to make it worth the time. So I pretty much just limit it too helping the club raise money at auctions, and for a friend or two here and there.

With that said, with winter right around the corner I am actually planning on building one or two to sell just for the heck of it soon so you might see one show up here in the near future if I get the extra time.

That makes sense. They are quite nice and I am sure that they would sell, probably for $75-$200 depending on size I guess. I don't know if that would be worth all the effort though:)

Ever since I set this tank up back in February that white pvc intake has just been driving my OCD nuts, stuck out like an eyesore to me. Finally replaced it with the proper black intake and factory set up for the FX5. Still have to paint the small coupling black on it but much better looking now that before thankfully.
