Breeding Angelfish
« on: July 08, 2015, 01:08:04 AM »
Hello everyone,

Its been a while since i posted anything.

I have a question about Angelfish breeding.  I don't have any problems with the breeding part.  That is happening about every 10 days what I am having a problem with is the parents eating the eggs after they become wigglers and they move them.  I am curious if anybody has any suggestions or have successfully raised Angelfish fry?

How many times have they the spawn?  It may be time to give up on them & artificially hatch the eggs.

They have been spawning since May and they spawn every 8 - 10 days.

Grab whatever they have spawned on, put it in a separate tank, add the correct dosage of methyline blue, & put an air stone to where it causes a gentle current to flow over the eggs.
(A powerhead will work,  instead of an air stone, but you have to be super careful that it doesn't suck up the wrigglers. )
