Question Regarding Repashy Foods
« on: April 29, 2015, 03:37:25 PM »
Okay so I have 4 different types of the Repashy foods that I had planned to throw in with all the Hikari foods I have up for sale if the $50 price was met.  Since that boat has sailed I decided to try out the Repashy foods with my fish.
I asked Marty the other day and he couldn't remember so I'll put it to the rest of the membership.
My question is for those who have personally used Repashy foods. I wanted to know if cooking the food in the microwave will leave a bad aroma in your house? I know there is the option of adding the powder after heating the water but because the directions are primarily to cook it in the microwave with the powder already mixed in, I assume that is the advisable way to do it.
So to simplify.....stinky, or not stinky?  ;D

If my food order doesn't come in soon, I might be able to give you the answer to that question.

Kinda figured that, thanks Blair. Does it smell bad even adding after heating up the water?

Depends on your sensitivity to smells...  remember what I do for work?  I've smelled worse, but it's not a pleasant odor, Lol.

I've found a foolproof method for eliminating cooking odors in my house. Do the stinky stuff outside.
A few fish and the desire for more.

Just throw a bit of Garlic in it and it will give it more of a food smell. I've used, Garlic powder, Curry and Paprika in it and it doesn't smell that bad to me. Just smells like fish food. Light a rite aid smelly candle and hour before and you'll be fine.

Sounds like you're making a sauce to put on fish. A candle to set the mood.....all you need is a nice bottle of wine and you're ready for a date night.  Any ladies out there?  Tony's single....
