silt on plants
« on: March 15, 2012, 10:31:13 AM »
Hey Gang
I am not much into the plant thing (thats the brides area of expertise) but we have been getting a bunch of silt on the plants and don't know what it is from.
This is in our angelfish tank which has a hang on the back filter and a sand base.
Coud it be the sand?
We don't have this problem with any of our other tanks ???

Does it look like the sand from the filter? Or is it brown? It could be the sand, it could be stirred up sediment from driftwood too. Many of my tanks that have driftwood get this fine brown powder in there...usually from all the plecos chewing on the wood.
