Looks like another Cyprichromis debacle.. Utinta, blue flash Malasa... all look the same to me..

I looked at them all online.. not sure I could tell one from another in a line up..

We can talk more later.. no hurries.. Probably see how these do for a little while then get a nice group of "i know what the heck they are" fish..

Thanks for the response.

Marc,  Who was the seller?  If it was Pete Durkin,  then they're Kekese.

Don't recall seeing the sellers name.. just the pretty much illegible handwriting.. LOL.. Trying to remember the lot number on them but I think I tossed the sheet I had..

Would be great to figure it out. I wish people would put that info on the bag.. there were other fish I was interested in but they did were not specific. I think the Lethrinops "red caps" did not have a collection point. I have "Chirwa" according to the source of which I got them a couple years ago.. and because of this do not want the Itungi.. even though people can't figure out which is which.. definitely.. Just tired of getting my hopes up on fish and not knowing what the heck I am getting.. I bought 6 yellow calvus and realized when I got them home they may be cast offs. The jaw lines look way too elongated downward so I am wondering if its a defect or they will grow into it.. These auction trips are starting to aggravate me some..

Know that for sure?

FWIW, Mr. Durkin was the only one I saw that brought these to the MCAS auction. Had I seen the specific bag of fish the poster is posting about, this thread would have never been posted.  Apparently I missed a bag.  :P

Pete doesn't sell to the public,  unless it's through a club function.   Your best bet is to talk to Dale at Fantastic Fins (or somebody else who he supplies) & have them order them from Pete for you.

Or... go to the March 1st Akron auction & Hope he put some in it.
