My first auction had a great time everyone was very friendly, people where happy to explain how it all worked. I picked up some ruby green haps, and some bicolor 500s. I am treating the 500s for fungus right now but all and all a great experience.

Thank you

A huge THANK YOU to everybody who helped out, participated & showed up to our Winter auction yesterday.
It was a success,  because of you.

Results were 809bags sold, with an average of $17.18 per bag.

Got a group of acaricthys heckelii, Perlmutts, venustus, and mainganos. I was eyeballing those buccos Ron.
I totally missed the Acarichthys heckelii - didn't see them and didn't hear them come up. Very nice fishes - enjoy them.

Great auction overall! I haven't seen that many "priority" or "bumped" bids in an auction. Had to be a record of some sort. Even a bag of Java Moss was prioritized and sold for I think $10 - crazy! LOL

I prearranged the purchase of the Acaricthys. They were not actually in the auction. It is a beautiful group with nice streamers.

I got some cory cats and some albino plecos. Cudos to whoever brought in the PA system. Couldn't hear anything prior. Had a good day

That was me.  The club owns the PA system, we used to use it at our last location.  We had no idea the sound system was that jacked up on the south hall, or I would've brought it at the beginning.

The auction was great. There were a lot of fish I havent seen at past auctions. I was able to grab some red fin compressiceps, a big group of petricola, and some albino bristlenose.

Maybe we need to have it on stand by for future auctions in case that happens again.

I haven't had it in my vehicle for two reasons.

Number one, it's heavy as hell and it's stored in my basement, so it's always fun to lug it up and down the stairs.

Number two, I am bringing so much club related crap to the auction, I am lucky to have room for fish!

We'd like to display the fish that are being auctioned off on a video screen so everyone can see them.  Is that something you can do?  The hall has a screen that comes down from the ceiling that's available we just need the video set up.

That's a great idea Marty. Those sitting in all locations in the hall could see the fish.

Not my idea, it's been done before. We were just looking to revive it so people don't congregate around the front table, and it also gives everyone an opportunity to see the fish before they've been sold.
