nice looking tank!

Thanks!  I read as much as I could find on what Cyps like and more on Lake Tanganyika and did my best to design the tank around that.  I left out two large Holey Rocks that I had in before, since I never saw the Cyps hide in them (holes too small).  I also made the left pile of rocks much larger, since they always liked to hide on the left side.  It sure gives the tank more open water, which is what I understand Cyps like.

BTW, here's a before/after comparison to what the tank looked like right before it started leaking ...

Another note ... I've been using a Conductivity Meter to measure water hardness.  It measures in MicroSiemens, that I've been converting to dH (German Hardness), which over the years had measured 15-19 degrees.  This is in the range for Cichlids (Moderately Hard).  Although, today I got curious and researched what the MicroSiemens should be for Lake Tanganyika and it looks like it should be 606-700.  This was great news, since my meter is running 615-620 for both the 125g and 29g.  Does anyone else use a Conductivity Meter for a Tanganyika tank?

Well, the Cyps have been in the 125g about 2 hours and seem to be doing great.  The male is already courting the females.  So hopefully they'll be OK.

The water parameters were great today.  The Nitrates went up a bit to 5ppm, but that's what's supposed to happen as I understand it.  I'll continue to monitor the values daily for a week or so.

Thanks to everyone for the help!

Glad to hear it's going well. They must be comfortable in there if they are already doing the mating dance 8)

Great to hear Tim.  Glad you got the tank back up and running.  Cyps will do good in there.

Thank you all for the kind words!  Hopefully I'll have some fry this year.  It sure would be nice to have a nice colony/school of them.
