I've found a few suppliers for the Crenicichla zebrina pike, at 8" they run 600-700 bucks a piece.

Pretty fish, but holy smokes! Not worth the risk of a power outage IMO.

If you get interested let me know I can usually get tricotti pretty reasonable at a few inches.

I still say white lip mdoka.  Even the females turn blue.

If you're digging the zebrina pikes,  then check out Cr. cincta...  they're pretty badass & easily found right now.

If I had a big tank as backed up for when they out grow my 140, I would do this for sure.
