250 gallon set up with motoro rays

I recently bought a house only to find out I cant fit this tank down the stairs in the basement so it has to go.

one male marbled motoro around 7" one female motoro around 12" ive had the male for about a year and the femal for 2 1/2 years they both eat shrimp and night crawlers great fish very active and good eaters 
the tank comes with a wet dry filter it is acrylic it measures 96" long 30" wide 24" tall.   it is not a show quality tank there are some light scratches most would buff out  comes with a well built home made stand 1300 obo
i paid 400 for the rays alone when they were pups  the female is sexually mature the male has a little growing to do before hes ready to breed

I was thinking along similar lines, there's got to be a way, though it's probably the 8' length that's a problem? are you trying to go down stairs that turn?

I'd peel back some carpet, cut out the sub floor, and temporarily remove a joist.  Can all be put back together without any cost except a tube of liquid nails and screws to put it back together.  Well, you might have to pay a carpet guy to put the carpet back if you're not handy.

yes there is a turn at the stairs it might be possible to get it down there but with a tank this size i dont want to attempt it unless im sure it will fit

I dont think the wife would appreciate cutting up the hard wood floors to get an aquarium downstairs
