Male or female? Dimidiochromis compressiseps

It is about 4-5" right now.  Was seeing what everyone thought as to its sex.  I was leaning towards female as of now.  Fins still look rounded and no egg spots.  The top of its dorsal fin is starting to turn red though.  I know these fish can take a while to show maturity and sex.  Thanks for the help.

The female D. compressiceps do have the red-tipped dorsal fin. Males will get color throughout the entire dorsal.

The anal find shape is a good indicator. I've also found that males will start to get a blue sheen in the face prior to their other color and the females will never have a blue sheen.

I'm inclined to think the same. Occasionally I've seen males that don't start coloring up until 4"-5".

I'm no expert and I always have issues trying to tell males from females, but IMO I agree with the others that it's probably a female. I have a 6.5" male right now and I know from past (had a 5" female before) that the male will have a very discernible blue tint to it that is unmistakable. Yours looks blue in the pic but from looking at the other parts of the pic it looks like your lights are giving it more of a blue color than it may actually have.
