Small tank revamp
« on: September 04, 2014, 05:15:51 PM »
Now that I moved all the super red bnp's down to a tank of their own in the basement to breed them I was left with just my few cort cats in the lower tank of my 55g mbuna unit so I decided to give it a little revamp today. I kept the 3D background I had mad for it but I swapped out the white sand for black gravel, got rid of the fake rocks and added some wood and a rock from a different tank. I am using it now as a juvie grow out tank for some of my fry that are too big for the fry tank yet too small for the main tanks. So as of now it's got the corys, 3 OB peacocks and 4 yellow labs. Once they get a little bigger they will go into the main tanks and I'll grow out something else in here. I kind'a like the black gravel, the albino corys really stand out well against it.

Keep an eye on the Cories Steve. Sometimes African cichlids like to nip their fins as well as go after the eyes.

I really like the two tanks.  Very nice set up.

Didn't consider that, thanks for the head's up I'll keep an eye on them. So far so good at least but we'll see if it stays that way. Might end up moving the corys to some other tank if so.
