Sorry to hear you didn't pull the plug on your in-tank heaters soon enough, but congrats on getting the main one setup! If you get some real world numbers on how it impacts your fish-related utilities, please share how much of an impact it has.  :)

Will do.  Should have some preliminary numbers soon.

Did you install on it one of your walls?  Do you have any pics of it?

Decided to install it on the floor (more central location and installing it on the wall would take away from tank space) ;)

No pics, but here is a link it:

I figured I had 5,750 watts of aquarium heaters that was sucking the money right out of my wallet.

Thanks Rob.  Can you take a pic of how you installed on the floor?  Is it just sitting on the feet that it looks like it comes with?

It is sitting on the stand that comes with the unit (very sturdy).  Here is a pic of the unit and a fan that is on low constantly keeping the air moving (to avoid temp. stratification).  Works very well.

Have you thought of linking them like? With one sump I did it to my tanks and used a 55 gallon drum with a big pump and big heater works great

No, for two reasons:
1).  Didn't want to drill and plumb 30 - 40 tanks
2).  I like keeping each tank separate.  If you have all the tanks linked together, if one tank is sick, then all the tanks are sick.

# 2 is a good reason but there's ways to prevent that for the most part uv sterilizer and good micron filters are what I'm going to use and I'm going to have a new fish/sick fish quarantine section in my fish room and I understand not wanting to drill that many tanks I'm sure there's a way to do a self priming overflow box. I'm going to Link my tanks to my new quiet1 2200 till I can afford a bigger one. My walls go up for my new room monday can't wait!!
