Oyer's
« on: April 21, 2014, 01:35:04 PM »
I picked up some fish from Oyer's in Brighton on Friday.  Betty was very nice and knowledgeable as I have heard from past post.  They have downsized from 400 tanks to 220 tanks but still going strong.  I highly recommend visiting (by appointment only) if you are in the area.

My new fish (all male):
Aulonocara jacobfreibergi Lemon Jake (Unda Reef)
Sciaenochromis fryeri albino "White Knight"
Lethrinops spec. nyasse "Mbawa Blackfin"
Xystichromis sp. "Kyoga flameback"
Protomelas taeniolatus
Dimidiochromis compressiceps

Existing fish in the 120 gallon tank:
2 OB Peacock - 1 male & 1 female (holding)
3 Aulonocara German Red - 1 male & 2 females
1 Protomelas steveni ''Taiwan Reef' - male
1 Copadichromis borleyi (Kadango) - male
2 Otopharynx lithobates - both male
1 Aulonocara unknown species and unsure of sex

My goal is to find homes for the females and the 1 extra Otopharynx lithobates.

Any thoughts or suggestions would be great!

Looks like you have a nice list of species.

I hadn't heard of Lethrinops spec. nyasse "Mbawa Blackfin" before - thanks for giving me a reason to look it up!  :)

They took all the tanks from the center area in the garage out or emptied them.

I will do my best to get a good picture this weekend.  The Lethrinops seems to have taken up residence in the back side of the tank and comes to the front for feeding time.  It is kinda bland at this point but when it hits the lights the right way it almost looks flourescent in the tale and dorsal fins.

Here are some pictures of my Lethrinops spec. nyasse "Mbawa Blackfin".  He moves a lot so it was difficult to a great picture.
