No Discus for you - Signed Discus Nazi
« on: February 07, 2012, 07:16:35 PM »
I was suppose to get some WC Discus today but the Discus Nazi (similar to the Soup Nazi) came in and said "No Discus for you!".  I'm bummed.

The day wasn't a complete bust.  I got some nice wood from Chris (Fantastic Fins) and Tony gave me his balls (bio).  Also picked up some Clown Loaches and L129 Zebra Plecos.  If I'm up to it later I'll post pictures.
I used to be a people person... but people ruined that for me.

Wood, balls, and nazis. Sounds like a full day there Jeff.
Nothing but a few empty tanks.

I use a roller and a brush for the edges.  I've never had good luck with a spray paint.

Jeff, did the Discus Nazi loosen up yet and give you some Discus to go with your wood?

Nope.  The discus where suppose to be part of an order Tony did this week, but the wholesaler didn't ship the discus because he felt they wouldn't make the trip.  I'll have to wait a few weeks at the earliest before another try, but who knows they might not get any more in for a while.

The bad part is that the fish Jeff wanted were in stock and healthy to ship. Unfortunately, other behind the scene factors came in to play this time and I couldn't place the order...which, BTW, has me a little upset with this particular supplier (but that's between me and the wholesaler  >:() .
To make matters worse, the window of opportunity for wild-caught Discus is probably closing for the time being.
I promise Jeff, I will get you those Discus!!!

Not a big deal.  I'll get them sooner or later.  Might be next season though.  LOL.

BTW Thanks again for the bio balls!  As you can see in my DIY thread I'm going to put them to good use.

I have to say that I was a little surprised by the diversity of your balls; coming in 3 different colors.  The blue balls didn't surprise me as I think those are probably common amongst fish geeks.  The red balls scared me a little bit as they gave an impression of being infectious.  The black balls where just showing off being a good 50% larger than the other balls!
