Broken Plastic on Tanks Bottem Rim
« on: February 06, 2012, 10:58:19 AM »
I've been in contact with someone who has. 135g Tank for sale. He just called and told be the bottem plastic is broke on one of the short sides of the tank. Is that an issue or can it be glued back on?

The plastic is mostly cosmetic IMO. Being on the bottom though, you'll want to make sure the tank sits flat. (Putting some thin, high-density styrofoam beneath it would be a good precaution IMO).

$200 is high.
$1/gal is usually the going rate. Unless it has built-in overflows or accessories

Maybe for just the tank but its for the tank, woodstand, hoods, lights, and what I believe is a ehiem canister filter. And I got him down to 150 now :)

Yeah, new trim is easily found
For $150 I'd probably get it too.

Well I would have had the tank if I could have gotten a truck to go get it...but no. The guy I was suppose to borrow it from wouldn't call me back after promising me several times he would have let me use it. I really wouldn't have cared if he said no but instead he said nothing and I missed out on the tank....So irritated. Oh well...Its not meant to be right?
