Heaters

What is the best kind of heater for tanks?  Aqueon, Marineland, or PennPlex?  I had one of all three, my Marineland just quick working on my 75 gallon.  Luckily I had one I could pull out of 55 gallon that doesn't have any fish yet.

I actually just had the same dilemma. About a year ago i decided to go with some Elites that my LFS suggested. They didnt even last a year. The only reason I tried them at all is because I left my old marinelands busted after I let the water drain down too low...(yes I know im a moron...lol). I was really frustrated. I lost a whole tank of fish after being gone for a weekend this winter and luckly caught some going bad on my show tank. I went back to the marinelands. I had them before for 4 years before I let them shatter to negligence.  I guess what im saying is stick with what you know works...they all have problems but if you have had luck with some, stick with those. Marinelands cost way too much but they have a warranty that they will actually honor.
Nothing but a few empty tanks.

I've always had good luck with Ebo Jager heaters.  I only have one tank now, but in the past I had a number of them and never had an issue with one going haywire and cooking the tank or just quit working for that matter.  I believe Wet Thumb still sells them.

I've found Ebo Jagers to be the best, but even then there's a limited lifespan of usefulness is it's a submerged heater they all seem to leak/show bubbles/corrosion at some point.  :(

Ebo jagers love em. Fluval heaters are ok, still early to tell.  Stealth heaters are junk.  Heater died my fish died, they recalled them.
