I too bought 4 of these from Dan this past Nov. During a 6 week quarentine they became quite aggresive. I've since put them in a tank with a sterilizer to help their growout. These fish grow extremely slow. Also put them in with some Geophagus Iporangas the same size. This toned down the aggresion and they seem to be doing fine. Good Luck they look good

well art i have been lucky with the 3 i have  so far...not much to much aggression toward each other ,lest not enough to show signs ....they are in a 70g tank right now with a couple cazones ...i will work on some new pics ...it looks like i might have a male and two females...they are about 3' now

I picked up 6 from Wet Spot about a year ago, when they arrived they were almost an inch, and already aggressive with each other.

To lessen aggression I added 6 larger Guianacara hoping it would work, and it actually did, the distraction almost immediately curtailed all but a little scappyness.

The largest have now hit approx 4", are still housed with the Guianacara and a few others in a 150, so far, minimal aggression.
