is there a spot in messages that saves your sent messages,I saw a spot that said sent messages but it was empty??

Click on "Mymessages" then click "preferences" then "change settings". You will see a check box that says "Save a copy of each personal message in my sent items by default" click that and it will saves sent messages.
Better to have a short life full of what you like doing, than a long life spent in a miserable way.

Yep, Steve has the right directions for turning on the feature to save them all the time.

If you wanted to save them only on a case by case basis, there is a checkbox that you need to check when composing the message and it'll save that single message when you send it.
