Antique or Vintage Aquariums
« on: January 09, 2014, 03:51:29 PM »
I am looking to find a vintage aquarium for a showpiece.  It doesn't need to be big, but something old and interesting looking.  I have a bunch of Metaframe tanks already, so I am looking for something older than that.

Anyone have any leads on where I might find or look for such a tank?

A guy named Ralph has a really neat vintage tank in his basement...you may know him.

There is actually a huge demand for ornate vintage/victorian-era tanks; if you find one, it most likely will be expensive.

Thanks Mike, oh so helpful....  I know they are rare, and I figure it will be a bit pricey, but they are hard to even find, and everyone here seems to know someone, so I figured I would put a call out at least.

The TV one might be fun actually... I will keep it in mind

I remember and odd old one on CL a couple weeks ago right here in Royal Oak somewhere. Guy wanted a ton of money for it though. Let me see if I can find it.....

But I am open to other ideas.

Have you tried posting in our Facebook group?  There's a pretty wide range of people from other states that are on there.
