What a difference a year makes
« on: January 08, 2014, 04:42:16 AM »
You guys probably don't remember but about a year ago I posted a picture of a fish I picked up from a lfs that I didn't know what it was and really he was pretty sickly looking when I got him. Underfeed and thin, colors were not very good either. This was the original thread a year ago http://michigancichlid.com/simplemachinesforum/index.php?topic=3030.0

Well I've been meaning to show you guys the change in him for awhile now but keep forgetting to take a pic of him and post, what a difference between him now and how he was about a year ago. Now he's nice and plump, really nice colors to him and just super healthy and active.

This was him a year ago when I picked him up from the lfs for next to nothing price wise.

And this is him today (no photoshop colors added, that's how he looks all the time)

Best we could tell from what Blair thought would be exasperatus, but not 100% sure.

I wouldn't say that's what it is after seeing the new pictures.

Too late, I believe you already did. I remember Blair betting all his tanks on that fish definitely being an exasperatus.  ;D

 ;D lol

So any ideas then what he may be? perhaps a hybred hap or something?

Whatever he is he's turned into a pretty nice fish, one of my favorites in that tank now.

I have about 18,000 rounds of .223 I'm  looking to get rid of, 100 rd bags. 1-4 bags $40 ea, 5-9 bags $38 ea, 10 or more bags $35 ea. I can't put this in the for sale section, its not fish related. No shipping.

I don't know what it is, but I can say what it isn't .... I've kept both of those species from fry to fully colored adults and neither is the fish pictured.

Again, maybe an Ethelwynnae peacock? Looks identical to me.
