Judging by your zip looks like your in Madison Hgts? Check out "The Aquarium Shop" in Royal Oak on Main street right before 11 mile. I was in there yesterday and they had a  pair of Placidochromis electra (deep water hap) for $59 for the pair but they do sell individual so the female would probably be around $25 because they usually are less than the male. She was about 4.5" and looked nice. They also had another female in another tank that was smaller but don't remember the price on that tank.

Sorry about that. I did get my pair from aquarium shop. They haven't been doing any breeding and it's been at least 4 or 5 months. I figured I would throw some more females in the teams see what happened. I will check them again to see what they have.

My deep water haps have only breed twice.. I realized that unless they are the dominant group I end up watching a lot of showing off but no real breeding. A pair can be tough to get going .. my dominant male can get pushy.. sometimes a little nasty.. but it was spread out.. I had more success with 3 males and 5 females.  Just happened to be the mix when I bought my group as juvies. You have the right idea adding females and be patient..
