I've never kept them myself, nor seen adults in person. From time to time I've noticed them at auction, but they were always small and without color. When I initially saw this thread I considered it briefly, but for some reason thought they would be slimmer and less chunky looking. Nice looking fish though!  ;)

Just wanted to see how long it took for you guys to figure it out. It took me about 10min to figure it out myself.  The damn thing looks like a zebra obliquidens,  but I don't have any of those.

that & it wasn't exactly the easiest species to get my hands on.  A buddy of mine had to go down to Ohio to get them for me.

That sucks Blair I hate when ya get a jumper like that. About a week ago I actually lost one of the female white ahli's I got from you, found her behind the tank on the floor after I didn't see her for a day or two   :( There's maybe a 1" x 3" opening in the back of that hood on that tank so it blows my mind how a fish can find that small little opening like they do.
Better to have a short life full of what you like doing, than a long life spent in a miserable way.
