I have a kissing Gourami that's over 8 yrs old. I was given it by an old blind lady whose husband had died&  she couldn't care for it.

I have a Synodontis that I've had for 10 years and he was full grown when I got him.

Oldest as in the one that lived the longest out of every fish you've kept or the first you ever bought?

Just to clarify, my S. eupeterus is still alive, making him somewhere around 13+ years old.

Since I trade my fish like they're baseball cards.  It's hard for me to know.

I've had some for a REALLY long time!  A few have lived for up to 3 months in my tank before dying of old age. - Signed typical fish keeper

I have a Synodontis notatus that I got in 2002.  He was nearly 10" when I got him, so he's probably 14+ years.

I also have a common pleco that I got in 2000 when he was about 4" so he's probably 13.

Finally, I have a Corydoras robinae that I got as an adult in 2002 (he's the last in a group that I had).

BTW a serious answer is... The oldest fish I have where purchased as wild caught adults so no idea on their age.  The longest I've had any of my current fish is 2 years, since I had to sell off everything a few years ago.  Before I sold everything off I had some clown loaches for 5 years (and would still have them if I didn't have to sell them).
