There are many rare and threatened cichlids around, i thought it might be interesting to some folks, to start a Fish ID game.  and will start with this one.

Looks like a cross between P. pulcher and a L. perlmutt.  :P

^ JK of course and presuming that anything crossed/man-made will not be allowed?

Cool idea - looking forward to learning about some new species in this thread!

If you're gonna start the game, you should give people some time to try to figure it out. Throw another one up and see if anyone can get it.

x2...only about 45mins passed with just one reply and the answer was given?

p.s. I knew the answer but my job doesn't include being in front of a computer.

Lol, Jim didn't like some of the questions I was asking him so he decided he was going to take his ball and go home.

That's about it too.
No replies after 45min?!?! WTF!
But, now it's been 48hrs & No picture posted.

Isn't the person who gives the correct answer responsible for posting the next picture?
From what ive seen, That's the way it's always been played

Maybe some ground rules:

Poster must wait 48 hours for identification of the species they posted.
If no answer in 48 hours, the poster can choose to reveal the species posted.
The person that identifies the species has 24 hours to post a new species.
Cycle and return.

This could be alot of fun and very educational. Lets try to keep this thing running.

Just my $0.02.

Seems like a good set of rules. I nominate Cadman2000 to get the ball rolling again.  ;)

Should have kept my mouth shut. I have some stuff to do around the house here, but as soon as I'm done I will post something for consideration.

Ok so this entry came to me as I was typing my previous comment. With that being said you have until Tuesday at 10pm to identify this fish.

Remember the first person to identify it gets to chose the next entry in the game.
