Alcolapia Alcalicus "Lake Natron Soda Cichlids"
« on: November 05, 2013, 08:18:02 PM »
Any locals here in Michigan keeping these? I have a good group here but would like to know some others local experience. Water conditions, feeding, etc.

Not local, but I have kept them, and they have spawned for me.
I have neutral pH Lake Michigan water, and found they can do well in water in the low 80s.
They will spawn in lower temps, but with temps in the 70sF I ended up with all female fry.

Sent my last ones to dogofwar in a trade for some Barombi mbo cichlids.
