One of the best treatments is Metronidazole....

I bought some a few months back and I ended up havin to order it online. None of my local fish shops carried it. This is where I grabbed mine from off ebay http://www.ebay.com/itm/Brand-New-Seachem-Metronidazole-Medication-5g-/321098638185?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item4ac2f86369

When I treated for bloat I treated the entire tank just because I didn't want to be chasing bloat through the tank not knowing who and when another might show signs of it. Just be careful with other species like some catfish which I have heard metro can have bad affects on.

They sell it, or at least they did, at Royal Tropical on Woodward.

The stuff I got came in a blue cylinder with a yellow/gold cap.
Made by Seachem, simply called Metronidazole.
I know that Metronidazole is also an active ingredient in at least one other of Seachem's medications as well.

I use it for all new acquisitions while they're in quarantine.
Mix a spoonful with a week's worth of food and feed daily, i do this for 2 weeks.
Takes care of possible internal protozoans and some bacteria.

Pruess Pets in Lansing should carry it. They are one of the premier LFS in southern Michigan...

Not unless they just started carrying it, because Matt/Sue at Royal are my main LFS I use and back in June when I asked for it they didn't carry it.
