Tetras
« on: July 10, 2013, 07:37:17 AM »
Are there any tetra breeders here?  I'm looking for 6 of them for a 90 gallon community tank.  My next days off are Friday and Saturday.  Thanks.

What kind of Tetras?  I would think that the price of 6 Tetras wouldn't be more than $30 & you'd be good getting them from a lfs & quarantining them.

I'd check out Fins there in Livonia near you - tons of variety of tetras there.

Those are the cheapest, but almost every fish from the Petco by me has had ick, not that privately owned LFS don't have problems, but usually their fish are less sick.

Fins and some other places have very healthy fish so especially if you have any other expensive fish in the tank already, I wouldn't risk adding Petco/Petsmart fish unless you quarantine them first for a week or several weeks.

Thanks everyone, I'll use Pet Connection on 5 mile and middlebelt.  Sometimes people have special varieties here.

Again....  which Tetra species are you looking for?

I have been out of the hobby for sometime and am wondering if any new exotic tetra is around.  I was going to get neons there.

I went to Fantastic Fins.  It's a nice place with a nice staff.  Thanks!
