Years ago i have people coming & going in the fishroom !!!  Bad idea, Yes Reason being some guys came in and in a few days i'm lloking for this & that and never found them. Small head filters. About 6 of them. And then one day i go down stairs where the fishroom is,,,,,,,And all the fish in one tank are all GONE !! And we never found out who took all my breeders of Vc10's. Very few people come in now.
That's horrible, but it's the same reason I'm pretty particular about who comes over. A neutral meeting site is always best IMO.

** A Neutral Meeting Place is a good idea--I have been doing that for some time. I prefer it that way whenever possible. I don't like going into prople's homes I don't know---never know what they might be into.  :-X **

I too have had hundreds of people over and walk through the fish room and have never had a problem,  I let nearly every one know a few things while talking fish 1. I have a 110 pound great dane black lab who lets him self known when you arrive (who I trust with my life, and listens to me very well and does what I ask of him with out thinking twice.  2. I try to mention going out to the range (gun range not golf) as my second hobby to the fish, and always have my 9mm under my shirt/pants when people are around and have but probably shouldn't show some people when doing things in the room.
WAY TO MANY I GET LOST WHEN I GET OVER 1000 gallons
