I still end up googling some species, but every time I hear about one I don't know I read a profile or care sheet about it along with looking up a picture.

im always seeing new species ive never heard of as well. after a little while you will start to see a few scientific names over and over and start to recognize them. once you get those down  then you get totally thrown off by the capture points. it can be overwhelming but you'll get there. learning is never dumb, once you stop learning thats when you become "dumb." google images is the whip when it comes to this  stuff
I have about 18,000 rounds of .223 I'm  looking to get rid of, 100 rd bags. 1-4 bags $40 ea, 5-9 bags $38 ea, 10 or more bags $35 ea. I can't put this in the for sale section, its not fish related. No shipping.

You might try going to the cichlid forum on line, or better yet get the book LEXICON OF CICHLIDS by TFH.
