Got this guy the other day(breeder mentioned flametop I think), he looks really sharp when he gets colored up. Any thoughts on what type he might be etc.?

Definitely an Otopharynx lithobates "Yellow Blaze Hap"

I thought only the "forehead" and top fin was orange/yellow with them... not the body.  No?

Blaze..thats prob were I got flametop from. Had fire on the brain I guess..:)

From what i've seen the body gets an orangeish tint when its young, and then fades to the blue

Sorry for the stupid question, but for those of us still trying to learn about the different species...what do you guys mean by "standard"? Standard as opposed too?

Definitely a yellow blaze hap I have one in my tank right now he's about 4 inch and has awesome color

A standard is what was once known as a "red top Aristochromis" before it was regrouped as an Otopharnyx lithobates.  The dorsal is like the one pictured. 

A yellow blaze is just that, the dorsal is yellow as opposed to orange.
