Filtration Question
« on: June 11, 2013, 11:50:36 AM »
Can anyone tell me if a fluval fx5 filter is noisey compared to the fluval 406 canister filters.  With the 406 canisters I was going to use 2 with a hydrosponge V.  I'm looking at filtration options for a 195 gal show tank.  This will be in the living room

Comments?

Thanks

With that filtration and being a show tank... why ugly it up with a sponge?

What exactly do you mean by noisy?  Do you mean the motor or the output or the?

If I use a sponge, It would be out of sight.

Volume.  I use fluval (405) canister on my other tanks and there is very little "ambient" noise other than bubbling from air wands.  With the FX5 being larger in size with a larger output, I didn't know if there would be a lot of noise.  It would be in an enclosed cabinet under the tank.

Thanks
