Peacocks

Thought I'd post some pics of a couple of my peacocks that were out this morning. Sorry for the blurriness and the algae on the glass, today is cleaning day and I haven't gotten to it yet. They're my OB Peacock and my German Red Peacock

I think he understands that now. No need to keep hammering him on it.

I hope my German Red will color up like that.  But, I dont think it will.  Its almost 4" now.

The one OB I do have... lost all its color when it came home.  Yours looks good.  Look for eastsidejim on here... he has a bunch of OB that look real good.

That really stinks. I'm surprised either of mine have that much color, they're only 2-3"

I actually adopted the German Red.  Its real aggressive... strange.  I had to put it in with my Mbuna and predatory fish!

The OB looked  a lot like yours... when I bought it.  My wife talked me into it.  It was pretty cool.  But, not anymore... and its starting to pick on some of the other peacocks.  So, it may get sent to the Mbuna tank too.

Haha those two along with my strawberry peacock are the most aggressive ones in the tank

I think he got I was joking but eh either way.

Hearing those fish being aggressive does not surprise me any. It has something to do with how the breed the fish. Generally I just keep the temps a bit cooler on the tank and helps with the aggression.

I just have lots of hiding spots. Mine even took out a Bristlenose Pleco the day after I got it which surprised me. I've never had a problem with Africans and plecos

Thats almost the opposite as to what I have learned to do with Africans.  The more fish and the more hiding spots, the less likely you will have a bully and one fish picking on others.
