Darn clown loaches freaked out my Albus

Pretty bummed out on this one. 

Got 9 clown loaches to go in the 150 gallon with the Lethrinops Albus.  After a few days... the Albus were breathing real hard and not eating.

Took out all the clowns... ended up loosing one female Albus.  But, they seem to be back to normal again.




I thought some loaches would be a perfect match for the fast, open water swimming Lethrinops.  Guess not.

So, now I have the clowns in two other tanks... not really where I wanted them.

That's surprising I never heard of loaches as an aggressive fish when I have owned them they are generally peaceful. Sorry to hear ken and good luck with finding an alternative if you even want one now. Also, water parameters spike sometime when adding a large number of fish,( you probably know this already) but could have been anything to do with that? (Or did you see these loaches harassing the albus)

The Albus are very peaceful.  You the clowns are just madness swimming in the tank.     All over the place.  Even bumping into the Albus.

I think it was just too much for the Albus to handle.

I see they were just like a bunch of 5 year olds running around screaming while gramps is trying to relax(weird metaphor of the day) just a little too much for him to handle

Lost another female last night.

I hope the rest will be ok since the stress has been removed from the tank.
