i was looking at all kinds of cichlids ive never seen before and the pseudotropheus elongatus neon spot and aulonocara kandeense kande island came up. i think they look amazing (according to google images) but i dont know anything about them besides the fact that i think i need some in a tank, in my home. are they hard to find? i havent heard of them previously, let alone seen them. any thoughts?
I have about 18,000 rounds of .223 I'm  looking to get rid of, 100 rd bags. 1-4 bags $40 ea, 5-9 bags $38 ea, 10 or more bags $35 ea. I can't put this in the for sale section, its not fish related. No shipping.

Aulonocara kandeense are pretty mild manered and typically people suggest a species only tank for them as the males won't color up in a mixed group.  This is only from what I've read, I've got a single male growing up right now who will get a chance in my all male tank soon.

I had a Kandeense in an all male set up and he did not color up at all (eventually died). I'd definitely recommend a species tank if you want a nicely colored male.

I haven't done either of those species.  But, I've kept several species in those genus.

I'd recommend species tanks of 1M/3-4F & lots of rock work for decor.

I`ve had the Kandeense for many years they are a shy fish that dose not get the size of many other peacocks . These fish are best kept in a species only tank with a high female to male ratio as these fish are not aggresive twords other fish but the males can be brutal on the females.  This is a fish rarley kept but is very beautiful.
