Some of my Tropheus
« on: May 07, 2013, 11:36:32 PM »
Tropheus have always been something that interested me since I started in the hobby, but I never picked any up for a few reasons one being price at the LFS and two being all the stuff you read about bloat and aggression and all that good stuff.

a couple months about I took the plunge with some Tropheus duboisi maswa from the oyers 13 F1 and some are starting to color up here they are.

I was really enjoying these so I decided to grab another group on the fish room tour just couldn't pass on the $5 fish so I picked up 15 F1 Tropheus sp. "Red" (Kachese) they are doing well in there grow out. Here's some pictures.

I have now jumped head first into tropheus  and have picked up small groups of Tropheus sp. "Red" (Moliro) and Tropheus Bemba only 8 of each as they were auction purchases but I plan to pick some more up from the oyers in the near future atleast the bembe I doubt Ill be able to find and Moliro locally.

No pics yet there still skittish

Good looking fish.

My wife and I keep threatening each other about getting some.

No room at the moment... but, I think its only a matter of time.

There is definitely something addicting about them. Trophs are without a doubt my favorite fish right now.

Great pictures. I am in love with mine and now my husband got some chimba reds. Can't wait for them to grow out and start breeding.

Yup am really going to start focusing on trophs.  Really need to get out to the pyres again.  Would also love to go to the durkins but not sure how I set that up.  My maswa male is already colored and shaking his hinny I don't think the girls are ready yet.
